This feature allows you to add a new MP4 video to your website, which is self-hosted. You can upload the video file directly or provide a URL. Customize the video settings such as resolution, duration, poster image, subtitles, and chapters. Publish the video to make it available on your site.
- Enable “LYNX Videos” in the “LYNX Add-ons Options” page.
- Navigate to the “LYNX Videos” menu in the admin dashboard and click on “Add New Video.”
- Add a title for your video.
- Select the “Single Video” option from the “Video Options” fields.
- Video Source: Choose “MP4/self-hosted.”
- MP4 Video URL:
- If it’s a 360° video?: check “Yes“, if you are going to upload 360° Video)
- Video URL (default resolution): Insert the video URL or upload the video file.
- More Resolutions: Add URLs for other resolutions like 4k/UHD, 2k/FHD, 720p if available.
- MP4 Video Duration: Insert the video duration in seconds.
- MP4 Video Poster Image:
- Choose “Use featured image” or “Upload different image.”
- Use featured image: Use the featured image as the video poster image.
- Upload different image: Upload a custom video poster image or insert an image URL.
- Choose “Use featured image” or “Upload different image.”
- Video Subtitles (Optional):
- Click on “Add+” button.
- Language Label: Insert the subtitle language label (e.g., English, French, Spanish, etc.).
- Add Subtitle: Upload the subtitle file according to the language label.
- Click on “Add+” button again to add more subtitles.
- Click on “Add+” button.

- Upload chapter file: Upload a .vtt chapter file if you have one.

Further Process
- Select a Channel: Select a channel for this video.
- Video Categories: Select or add a new category.
- Video Hashtags: Add hashtags.
- Video Featured Image: Set the video’s featured image.
- Click on the “Publish” button to publish the video.
