Add Video Playlist: YouTube & Vimeo

This guide explains how to add a video playlist from YouTube or Vimeo using the LYNX Video Player.

  • Enable “LYNX Videos” in the “LYNX Add-ons Options” page.
  • Navigate to the “LYNX Videos” menu in the admin dashboard and click on “Add New Video.”
  • Add a title for your video.
  • Select the “Playlist Video” option from the “Video Options” fields.

Adding YouTube Playlist Video:

  • Video Source: Choose “YouTube.”
  • Playlist by: Select the source of your playlist from the options below:
    • YouTube Channel: To fetch videos from a YouTube Channel.
      • YouTube Channel ID: Copy your Channel ID from https://www.youtube.com/account_advanced and paste it here.
      • Video sort by: Specify the order of videos in the playlist.
      • Video limit: Set the maximum number of videos to display.
    • YouTube Playlist: Fetch videos from a YouTube Playlist.
      • YouTube Playlist Link: Paste the YouTube playlist link or ID here.
      • Video limit: Set the maximum number of videos to display.
    • YouTube Single Video: Fetch a single video from YouTube.
      • YouTube Video Link: Paste the YouTube video link or ID here.
      • Click “Add Video” again repeat the action to add more videos to the playlist.

Adding Vimeo Video

  • In the “Video Source” field, choose “Vimeo.”
  • Playlist by:
    • Select one option among “Vimeo Channel“, “User“, and “Vimeo Single”
      • Vimeo Channel: To fetch videos from a Vimeo Channel.
        • Vimeo Channel ID/Link: Insert the Vimeo channel link or ID.
        • Video sort by: Select the sorting order for videos in the playlist.
        • Video limit: Set the maximum number of videos to display in this playlist.
      • User: To fetch videos from a Vimeo User.
        • Vimeo User ID/Link: Insert the Vimeo user link or user ID.
        • Video limit: Set the maximum number of videos to display in this playlist.
      • Vimeo Single Video: Manually add a Vimeo video to the playlist.
        • Vimeo Video Link: Insert the Vimeo video link or video ID.
        • Click “Add Video” to add more videos to the playlist.
        • Repeat the action to add more videos.

Grid Layout

This options fields are enable to Grid playlist layouts, You need to follow this documentation to learn about setting up Grid playlist layouts.

Further Process

  • Add a description for the video.
  • Select a channel for the video.
  • Choose or add a new video category for the video.
  • Add hashtags for the video.
  • Set the video’s featured image.

Click on “Publish” button to publish the video.
