Load Video From Google Drive

Google Drive is a free file storage service provided by Google. To load a video from Google Drive to the LYNX Video Player, follow these steps:

Please note that accessing files from Google Drive may not be reliable due to the “CORS” policy. It’s essential to fix any “CORS” policy issues to ensure that your video file loads correctly.

  1. Sign in or Sign up for Google Account: Go to Google Drive and sign in with your Google account. If you don’t have an account, sign up for one.
  2. Upload Video Files: Upload your video files to Google Drive.
  3. Get Shareable Link: After uploading, right-click on the video file’s title and select the “Share” option from the menu.
  4. Set Sharing Permissions: In the sharing settings, select “Anyone with the link” under “Link sharing on” to make the video accessible to anyone who has the link.
  5. Copy Video Link: Click on “Copy link” to copy the video’s shareable link.
  6. Return to Your Video Post: Go back to your video post editor.
  7. Choose “MP4/Self-Hosted” Option: In the “Video Source” field, select “MP4/Self-Hosted” as the source for your video.
  8. Paste Video URL: Paste the copied video link from Google Drive into the “Video URL” field instead of using the “Upload video” option.
